Hey guys. I got a LG L194WT 19" widescreen for my birthday, and I cant play movies on it. In Windows Media Player this message comes up when I try to play the movie: "WIndows Media Player cannot play DVD Video. You might need to adjust your Windows display settings. Open display settings in Control Panel, and then try lowering your screen resolution and color quality settings."
Is there some ideal resolution that movies are supposed to play at? Would a codec fix it? That sucks that you cant play movies with widescreens, any suggestions on how to fix it? It does this with any movie in any movie player.
Thanks,
Derek

There shouldn't be any.

And besides using a different media player have you checked to make sure you have the proper codecs?

install the actual driver for your monitor
install the newest drivers for your video card
install an actual decent mpeg-2 codec

make sure you're using the correct dvi cable
