HELP PLEASE!! LAN stopped working

so i tried to instal a wireless adapter and it didnt work so i tried to go back to my ethernet connection and it doesnt work please any help!!!!?
 
Can you provide more details? What didn't work about the ethernet connection? It was a known, good connection prior to this, correct? Is your ethernet controller disabled in either your BIOS, or Windows? Cable disconnected? I've seen RJ45 plugs where the retention clip was partially broken and allowed the cable to move just enough to stop making contact, while still looking like it was plugged in. Showing that it's connected, but not obtaining an IP? There's too many variables, we need to know what's happening.

What wasn't working about the wireless adapter?
 
ok so i had it plugged in and it was working so i tried to instal a pci wireless adapter when it didnt work i unplugged it and tried to go back to the ethernet cable not i think some of the drivers got removed it keeps saying its a broadband connection and i dont know its a 970a-d3 motherboard built in lan anything else you need?
 
Look in device manager to see if the network adapter driver is still installed and working correctly.
