I have reformated my pc and after doing this i cant seem to get my internet explorer to work like it was before.Called my cable supplyer and found out my ip address is ok and my ping is ok too they said it was a microsoft problem.When i restart my pc i can get my home page then any other page i try to get it cannot be displayed.Then when i click home page that will not display too.Cant really afford to ring microsoft as it is a pound a minute and a twenty minute waiting time.

Are you using a router? or wireless modem router? or just a broadband modem or modem?
If you are using a router your firewall is probably stopping in and out traffic!

Are you sure your computer is connected to an internet connection? Verify that you have an ip address by going to the start menu; run; cmd; and type in ip config. If you get an Ip your connected, if not, thats the problem. Also, try pinging a web site to see if you get a response, at the cmd prompt, type ping "name of site" (like www.yahoo.com).
