Help please

we have a bt home hub on the downstairs computer but i cannot pick up the connection in my bedroom whih is quite a long way away, what is the best thing to do to get a connection as good upstairs

A new/better antenna might help, a wireless repeater would almost certainly help. If you could find an old router that supports DD-WRT (older Linksys WRT54G's are the most common), you could quite easily make yourself a wireless repeater.
