HELP please!!!

Ok so I haven't done any type of computer device installations before until now. My laptop crashed and needed a new hard drive and OS. I just got the hard drive so me and my dad plugged it in and turned the power on to see what would happen. Its trying to "boot up" but all it says over and over repeatedly is "For realtek RTL8001E/810E Fast Ethernet Network Adapter v1.02 (060529)
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM.

Intel UNDI, PXE-2.1 (build 082)
Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation"
and it keeps listing that over and over.

Now I remember you guys telling me that I will most likely need to call toshiba and ask for them to send me the drivers for this model. Thats what I feel like this is telling me. Like the network adapter isn't registering because it doesn't have the proper drivers. Is that true or what is this saying?

Another important thing is that I haven't installed the OS yet (because it hasn't came in the mail yet) I was just impatient and wanted to see what would happen.

So is this a big problem like while i was trying to take the backing off I ruined something or is this the missing drivers or is this just a problem because i haven't installed the OS yet?

PLEASE HELP!!!

The answer is it's running through the boot priority and the last entry is boot from LAN, it's going to need a CD or OS to interrupt this list as each on fails it goes to the next option, mine is set as:

Hard Disk
CD ROM
LAN

It'll look at each one if the one before isn't giving a boot but you've hit the end of the list as expected with no OS.

You will need to wait for the operating system install cd before you can actually do anything with the system.

Ok thanks for the responses. & Yeah PabloTek mines set up the same too because when I went to boot up menu (F12) it said HDD, CD DVD, LAN. Alright well then I'll just wait till I get the Win7.
NOW. When I do get Win7 what do I do? Put the CD in when it's doing this boot up? Do I need to know anything before hand??

Put the cd in the drive and boot to it and follow the prompts to install windows 7. You may or may not need drivers after the install.
