Help Please!

Hey guys.

I have an Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe motherboard, and I just wanted to know if I could run a Phenom II X4 965 on it? If not, this is the processor which I will most likely be buying, unless there is anything better for virtually the same price. If I need to buy a new motherboard could anyone recommend one or a bundle of CPU/Motherboard.

Preferably one that will be able to hold 6GB of RAM as well, as I have 4GB and would like to add another 2GB.

My GPU is an ATI 4890 as well, if that helps, I think my CPU is bottlenecking it. ( 64 X2 6000+)

Help would be appreciated, thanks!

EDIT: Just read that I cant have that processor with my current motherboard, so suggestions would be nice. Sorry for not looking before posting!

Have you got 64bit OS to run 6GB RAM?

If you going to buy new mobo + CPU + RAM, leave it till next year.

Yes, I have Windows 7 Ultimate, and why would that be?

i think he was just asking to make sure your running 64 and not 32.

you can check your system to confirm setup.
goto start, right click computer then properties.
it will id the 64 bit operating system and ram.
