help please

I have had a windows 8 laptop for less then a year and have had several problems. 5 days ago I got back from my sisters (where the internet would say limited, do not know why) the windows store would come up with a error and then not install or download anything. So I contacted there support and were unable to fix it the next day I went to turn the laptop on and it is a black screen with a cursor. I have tried to get to the bios or any thing and no luck. Please can someone help me as it is still in the warinty.
Specs: packardbell easynote TE69KB, amd quad core a4-500, amd radeon hd 8330

My guess would be a failed hard drive. Remove it from the system and see if you can access the bios. If you can, then its the hard drive.

Thanks for the reply but I dont really want to take it apart beause it will void the warinty and if it is not that then I can not take it back. Thanks anyway.

Clearly if you aren't willing to do any troubleshooting then get a warranty replacement.
