i have a abit aw8-max motherboard, and has putting it in my new case, it keeps bleeping at me all the time, have removed all components inside and still bleeping! what could this be? please help

Did you remove the memory and video card? No memory or bad memory will result in constant beeping as well as a bad cpu. Is there a pattern like one long and two short?

The board won't run without memory in it. You have to have at least one dimm installed. This is why you are hearing the contining beeps.

Like PC eye 'almost'said (couldnt resist saying thet, sorry :P ) Beeps indicate an error the motherboard has found.
the minimum you can run a pc with is, CPU, Motherboard, RAM (at least i stick), and grafic's card.
with those thing's installed and connected (correctly) to the Power supply,.. it should go past the POST, and indicate it didnt find a boot-device ( Big suprise.. Harddisk not connected yet :) ) but, if it doesnt do anything with only CPU, Motherboard, RAM and Video card,. something is broken.

Well suez1982 did mention taking "ALL" of the components uot! How do you make things work when you have everything taken out of a case? I hope those weren't just tossed on a metal tray somewhere. "esd alert"! Hopefully not the board too. oops! time to leave................. just passing thru.
