Im not that good at computer stuff, but i need to change my processor and i dont know how to find out which ones are compatible with my mother board. The processor i have now is a 1.8 GHz intel, about 4-5 years old (if its any help). So my question is really, are there any good new processors that are compatible with my motherboard or do i need a new one?

If it is 4-5 yrs old it would probably be worth while to upgrade the computer...

If you want to get a new processor, you will need a new motherboard. If you get a new motherboard you will probably need a new PSU... etc etc etc..

Is it a home built or made by a company? If it is made by someone else what brand/model?

its made by HP but i have upgraded a few parts allready, like soundcard graphics card and ram. I dont know what model it is, and I cant check because i am 800 km away from it, and thx for the info
