hello all i have a doozie of a problem going. i just updated my computer to a amd 3800 1gb of ram ddr 2 pc4200 i added a sapphire 1650 video card, i also added a pioneer dvr-710. i have a 420watt power supply and am running 7 fans interna 2on power supply and 1 on processor. my dvd drive required that i change my ide cable from 40 wire to 80 wire. i tried to restart my computer only to be rewarded with a black screen. my fans would spin power would be sent to
ALL components, but the computer wont post. i removed my wire and tried to boot it with the old wire with the same results. i took out my motherboard battery and let it sit for 15 min upon replacement same result. i removed the memory and got beeped at alot. the whole reason i got into this mess is that the computer would shut off whenever playing a game like FEAR or BATTLESTATION MIDWAY. i only have 2 slots for ram. and i have only 1 stick of ram to play with. i think the ram is corrupt, but would like other oppinions.
