My sims 2 game is running very slow on my pc. Im not sure if my pc meets the minimum requirement and i'm not sure how to find out, all i know is that i have windows xp sp2. How do i find out if i meet the min requirements? or could this 'slowness' be due to something else?
Thanks :)

Well, right click on 'My Computer' and go to properties, at the bottom of the dialog that pops up it should have your basic computer specs (ram, processor power, etc.), what does it say? It's possible that there are other things that are causing it to run slow. If you open the task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del) and go to the processes tab it will show you on the bottom how many running processes are opened. How many do you have running? There is also a CPU column, check if anything in that column is high (that shows how much of your memory each process is using) - if something is using too much memory that could cause it to run slow as well.

So, what are your computer specs, and how many processes do you have running? Also, restart your computer and open up the task manager and see how many processes run on startup, don't start anything. Just let windows load and see how many processes you have when your computer starts up.

Generally when games run slowly it is because of lack-luster graphics cards or using integrated graphics make sure your graphics card is capable since it is handling quite a bit of the computers load.

:P

Or, to find out your system information press;

Windows Key + Pause / Break
