Hi Guys,

Can i pls have the pros only, thanks.

My PC has been a bit slow.

I'm running Kaspersky Online Scanner Now.

I ran combo fix, but the log is now gone from the folder.... The combo fix and then hijackthis.

You should do some optimizing.

1. How much RAM do you have? If you have less than 1 GB (512 MB or less) it's all clear: you need to upgrade to at least 1 GB for a good speed.
You may have too many processes opened which use more RAM than you have, so this means that the page file is used. That works very slow, because the HDD works much slower than RAM (RAM about 3 GB/s, HDD not more than 100 MB/s).

2. Did you defragmented your hdd recently? You should if you didn't.

3. Did you cleaned your temporary files, restore points and other not usefully files recently? You should, because your HDD may be full. This can empty much space if you didn't cleaned these files recently.

To problems 2 and 3 there is a very good program called "Tune-Up utilities". It's not free, but the trial should be all right, because it allows full functionality of the application for 30 days. It has many built-in application which help you optimize your computer.
You can also clean registry errors with the application, defrag the registry and you can also change the theme, bootskin, logon skin, and many other options to make windows better.
 
Cleaned out my Temp Files Today with CCleaner.

I have 2GB of ram

2 GB of ram shouldn't need paging on xp... But try the other optimisations from my previous post. Try TuneUp utilities and it has much more than just defragging and deleting temp files. Also the System Restore points use very much disk space.

The problem seems clear: the hard drive.

So whether someones a "pro" or not is determined by there post count on our forum?

Anyways why so closed minded, just because you cant fix your own problem, doesn't mean a newbie wont happen to have experience with the same problem.
 
Hi, I'm not a pro, but as you can see from your HijackThis log, there a lot of unnecessary programs running at startup.
Use msconfig to switch off these unnecessary programs and reboot your computer.
Also, you need to update your version of Java.

Actually your log might be clean, there are a few entries that I don't know about, those that I pointed out to you, I usually search them on other websites, but I'm not in the mood of searching through every website and every line of the code ;) (I spend 9 hours per day updating a website, badly HTML coded...:mad::()
