Your PSU should be sufficient, it sounds more like a Windows problem to me. Have you tried running a repair reinstall?

thanks for the look up, i was up till 2 AM trying to get that computer to work, and get through the mup.sys I tried it all. But the funny thing was, is that when i moved the computer over to a new power supply, it got through the mup.sys i was actually able to boot into safe mode. But for somereason i still can't boot into the actual windows xp. It goes into the logo screen witht he loading bar, loads for a bit, then this blue screen flashes and it restarts, it flashes so quickly though i can't even read it, if you could help with that it would be great.

Right click "my computer", click on properties, click on advanced tab, click on Settings under "startup and recovery", uncheck automatically restart under system failure. Next time it blue screens, it should not reboot and you can read what it says.

ive seen that.. it was a bad os. if you have 2000 or xp, load the main disc and and let it load, and click REPAIR good luck
