Hello ive been across various forums (gaming ones) and the basic idea that ive come across is to build my own computer.

I was originally looking at these but told getting either was a bad idea.

Then i was shown this, which looks nice.

Ultimately i was told to make my own i was given this parts guide
http://www.maximumpc.com/article/fe..._updated_prices_and_parts_march_2009?page=0,1

So im looking at building my own computer now, though ppl have made disagreeances with that guide.

Ill mention that the computer is for playing WoW, sc2, D3, and some of the next gen mmos/fps coming out like earthrise, mortal online, global agenda. Hopefully for no more than 1k.

Some help would be appreciated, most people are happy to divulge "this sucks yadda ya" but dont really say why, or elaborate. If someone wanted to elaborate and perhaps exchange ims (i use icq and aim) i would greatly appreciate it.

bump, ive also been looking for parts and it seems frys is missing alot of stuff, and newegg is missing the psu. Not sure what would be good replacements but i could start posting stuff if i knew someone was going to reply.

If you are buying PC
I think this is the one to go.

I disagree with that guide, BTW.
I personally will choose GIGABYTE GA-MA770-UD3 with AMD 770 chipset if going for single video card. Then the money go for Phenom II x4 940 or Phenom II x4 945
The video card should be either GTX 275/ 4890.

While going for Dual Video card, AMD 790FX with Crossfire and NVIDIA nForce 980a SLI for SLi. Also you will need a 750W PSU
