Help regarding privacy

Hi everyone,

I have heard that when computer is connected to internet then your files saved on computer are not safe. People can transfer these files with some programms, viruse etc.

But if one save them on external hard driver and connect this hard driver to computer only when he is not connected to internet. Is there any chance of getting these files hacked (transfered) ??

Will be very grateful for any expert info.

why are you worried about that its not as common as you might think it happens but not enough that id worry about going to huge lengths to protect myself my rule of thumb is not to store somthing on my computer that i wouldnt want anyone else to see example ss#'s bank info never have your browser save your passwords
