Help selecting a new monitor for my new gaming machine.

I was looking around and when it comes to Monitors I am clueless. I don't want to purchase something that I will regret. Any advice would be help greatly. I know I am looking for low MS on monitors, but other than that I am lost.

I found a BenQ monitor for $259 on Newegg but unsure if that is a good monitor or not even though it is 27in at 1ms (link below)

What about 4k monitors? My budget is $350.

Thanks again in advance!!

Its so hard to give advice about monitors when much of it is personal preference and you don't need other peoples opinions, you need your own. You should do some research and consider:
Do you want a monitor with an adjustable stand?
Do you want a monitor that can rotate?
Matte or gloss screen?
Is colour accuracy important to you?
Is viewing angle important?
You need to consider the size of the monitor and viewing distance, this is very much personal preference.
The refresh rate, the number of frames the monitor can display a second, are you sensitive to lower frame rates?
Some new monitors have the ability to v-sync at what ever the frame rate the card is outputting to decrease lag at lower frame rates.
Contrast ratio, simply put is the measure difference between black and white, how dark and how bright a screen can display. If you have ever looked at a screen which has a very black background with bright bold coloured images and thought that looks good, then a high contrast ratio maybe important to you.
No one can tell you if 4k is worth it or not, try to compare the looks of different monitors and tv's in shops if you can, but I know its hard to get a fair comparisons.
I hope I've given you a few things to about before you buy.
