Hi,
I recently reformatted my Father in Laws computer and upgraded them to Windows XP from 98. Everything seemed to go well until I received the following:

"Since we installed XP, the printer (hp psc 1210 series all-in-one) has been acting strange. When we send a document to the printer (word, publisher, anything in fact) it takes at least two minutes (some times longer) to think about it before printing, even simple envelopes.

I did an online diagnostic check from Hewlett-Packard (www.hp.com/support) and they said the printer was installed correctly, all drivers where correct and printer was responding as it should.

When we where running Windows 98 the printer had an almost instant response.

We have also noticed now, when we select a programme it seems to take a bit longer to appear. (painfully slow)"

Appreciate any ideas.

Thanks Siggy

I think it acts like this because of lack of RAM. If it has less than 128 MB then it's a normal behaviour of XP.
