I'll try being a detailed as possible.
Machine:
MB: Abit TH7-II Raid
Proc: P4 1.4, 384 RDRAM
About a month ago I started getting a lot of blue screen, memory dumps, etc.. after troubleshooting those with no success I decided to just format and reinstall XP. Well, during formatting and installation of XP I kept getting tons of errors and random rebooting of my computer.
I was also getting a check-sum memory error then asking me to insert disk and hit any key. So I was guessing maybe something was wrong with the bios.
I flashed the bios to the newest settings, cleared cmos, checked ram with memtest, and got 0 errors.
Finally I got XP installed on a brand new hard drive, but now im getting random lockups where my usb mouse turns off and my machine is frozen. I get random reboots, as well as blue screens with no description of the error. This happeneds at least twice-three times a day.
I'm consider myself somewhat computer savvy, but never dealt with anything this bad after a clean install of XP. Are these signs of bad mobo/proc/ or even ram?
