Help urgently required! Reformat..

Ok, my friend has got a backdoor it's deleted the driver for her mouse and she can't start up her PC as it has over 70 errors, the best thing I could surgest is to reformat her PC but she hasnt got the OS disk as it was second hand, i've never done this before and I don't have a clue what to do.
Please help!

Download Hijackthis.

Save it to disk or USB stick to install on her comp.

She can probably boot in safemode (tap f8 on startup), It's not ideal but run Hijackthis and post a log.

Can I put it on D: or does it need to be on floppy?
Oh and thanks what do I do when i've booted?

It'll fit on a floppy if both machines have one, it tells you what to do in the link I gave you.
