i didnt know what to do..since this type of problem never hgappendd to me be4...so i turned it off and on and off an and...and still nothing...i then urned it off...turnd off the PSU and turned everything back on in about 2 min...NOTHING!...i then turned the comp off again, by holding th power on button...it turned off...and then BACK ON by its self.... and still nothing worked...this happened about 4 times...

fiunally i turned it off by killing the power (only was i could turn it off) unplugged everything...then i put it back in ...and turned it on...STILL nothing i then pressed restart and finally it all worked....

i just need help figuring out what the F** just happend to my comp

Try this...

Turn it off, Turn off PSU switch, Unplug the PSU cable, press the Power button on your PC... You've just purged the capacitors in the power supply, then plug it back up and turn the PSU switch to on, boot as normal... See what happens.. This can work wonders..

You have a pretty low wattage PSU. It shouldn't be that big of a deal, but 380w is very low for today's standards (though you don't have that many power hungry components, other than your Pentium 4 processor).

So, has it messed up again? It could have been just a slight power fluctuation into your computer (like a power flicker).

I agree with Jet. Gaming can sucks lots, and having such a low wattage PSU doesn't help. Probably it overheated due to unsufficiency... I'd suggest another PSU...

Ceewi1, your area here :)

ok...it wqs working fine after i got it booted normally, but it did randomly freeze on me MUCH more then usual, and when i mean usual...i mean it never froze be4

now i have the same problem, computer "starts" i cansee the fans goin, fan led are on, it makes all the right noses...the cd drives are working BUT wont recognize monitor, keyboard, mouse i TRIED everythin, including purging the capasitators as stated by INTELCRAZY....nothing

can this be a virus? or is this my PSU

PL i need help, this never happened to me be 4, i would like to see what the pribelm is be4 i go uot and get a new PSU

You don't need to re-bump your thread. It has only been like 20 mins. If someone knows, they will reply.

This really does sound like the PSU. Is it still under warranty? If not, you can try unplugging, removing the PSU and taking the cover off. Take a look at the capacitors, particularly the smaller ones (secondaries) near where the output wires plug in. See if any appear to be leaking (it's a known issue on these units).

You need to be a bit careful on the insides of PSUs, as they can retain a charge, but provided you're just looking, you should be OK.

yah it's still under waranty..i'm pretty sure i stil have 1 year left until the warranty wears off....thnx for the help...i will go to the place where i got all my parts and get them to take a look at it

could it also be the mobo? or no?

went to canadacomputers...they told me it was MOBO....so yah i got a new one..should be installed today if i have the time
