i have some parts
a phenom II 940, DFI 790gx mobo and 4 x 2 gig sticks of ddr2 1066 ocz reaper.
a week after i bought the phenom i got an i7
so no longer need it. i wanted to see what AMD was up to cause i was always a huge AMD fan and hadn't used one since core 2 came out, but INTEL freaking rocks.
i feel bad for the guy. he is using a socket 745 computer i gave him 3 years ago. going to try and make him a nice workstation. he doesn't game i don't think. and he doesn't overclock.
here's the parts list i put together:

i'm going to put the 4 drives in raid 5 and put on the beta of 64 bit windows 7. he'll probably changer that eventually but i want it to boot when he gets it.
can anyone think of a cheaper but as good parts list?
do you think i can put an assembled pc pack in the box the case came in a UPS it 3 states away?
going to leave the video card up to him.
