Help w/ videocard

Ok, let me start of by telling you i have acquired a 37inch tv for my room that was given to me by mom. so my question is

whats a good videocard to support clear vision on a 37 inch HDTV :confused:
 
im guessing me getn a 9600GT wont cut it then ?

Like whats a card around the price range of $200(preferably nVidia) i can get to get a decent or good resolution to go on the internet and play moderate games on my 37inch:confused:

actually you dont need much memory to support a high res, you only need the rest for holding game textures etc...

(horizontal addressability) * (vertical addressability) * (pixel depth)/8

lets say 1600x1280

1600 x 1280 * 32 / 8 = 8192000 bytes
8192kb / 1024 = 8

so an 8mb video card would be enough. However vista uses it more like a game, so would require 128mb minimum.
 
well since you said you prefer nvidia you should probably go with a 9800gtx or gtx+ that is more than capable of handling high resolutions
