Hey

The Problem is:
I have some problems with windows Vista on my computer (HP pavilion dv9000).
So i tried to do an recovery process back to the fabric standard, but it did not work. Then i burrowed some recovery CD's from a friend who has the same computer. He got those CD's from HP. when i was around 78%, I got an error message and a blue screen that some windows file was corrupted and the the computer turned off. After that it seems i does not have WINDOWS Vista on the computer anymore... since it start and just stay black. So i have the Windows CD key... but not the CD. So I can not install it back. Since no one seems to have CD's. That is why i am asking someone to help me. It is Windows Vista home premium, i guess x86(not 100% sure). And i'm now writing from my School computer, were i am not administrator so burning CD's can become a problem, possible but not easy(at least not for me :D )
All the help is really appericiated. Thank you, and sorry for bad English :(

most likely you have written over the boot record and now not only is the computer going to not find windows the windows installation is now corrupt, have you tried giving the disc a clean or checking for scrathes and tring again? it seems as tho the only option you have will include using a windows disc to either re-install or fix the boot problems

You said that it stopped at 78%.That process must not be stopped.Repeat that process again and be sure that your CD/DVD-ROM disk and that the CD or DVD disk is not damaged.

Cheers!
