Hello - I have a second hand computer that works ok but when watching videos it seems to stutter a little and it is not the fastest machine in the world. I recently replaced the hard disk and I think it would be a good ides to upgrade the graphics card and the processor. Can anyone recommend what I should buy? I really just want the PC to run quickly and run streamed videos well - if I can play a few games too tyhen thats a bonus but I am not a really heavy gamer.
Here are the specs of the computer i have

Packard bell Imedia 6579
Processor - AMD 64, 3400 +, MMX
Memory - 1024 MB
OS - Windows XP.

Not sure where to find any other info - thats what came up when I typed dxdiag. What will the motherboard take? I don't want to spend a lot.

Cheers!

If it's videos online that are freezing then it probably isn't your computer, it's your internet.

thanks claptonman - I don't think it's my internet connection and my computer is pretty old so you may well be right. Thanks for the link to different RAM - would that solve the stuttering vid problem? Excuse my ignorance - I'm a bit of a novice!
