I have a virus on my computer that I have had before, I don't know how it got on my computer this time but last time I had to re-format my whole computer and I don't want to do that again. I have a red circle with a white "X" symbol in the taskbar which displays a box saying the following:

Now I know this message isn't real because it downloads and installs something called spysherrif or some other spyware virus. This virus originally disabled me from opening internet explorer, opening task manager with ctrl alt and del and changing my background, my background got changed to a black background saying you computer is infected click this link to fix the problem. I scanned my comp and got rid of alot of the problems, now when i start my computer up to get rid of the circle with the "x" and the message I open task manager and have to close down something called xupdate.exe or something like that.
No matter how much I scan my computer and delete viruses/spyware the message will not go, I get it everytime i start my computer. I got rid of alot of the problem but the message is annoying and I think my computer is going alot slower. Any tips ?
