Hello. Today i've bought new parts to build my new computer. I've never built a computer by my self before so i studied tutorials, guides and other stuff. I didnt think it was to hard to mount the motherboard inside the case and mount the Processor fan wasnt any hard either but, When i now come to the videocard i have som issues. When i mount my Asus 4870X2 into the PCI-E and the power cables. Now to my problem. The card fan dosnt spin so fast. So i disconnected the power cables and started the comp again, Now the fan is spinning real rapid so i dunno whats happening.

Is my system to weak for this monster card? This is the list of what i bought today. Im just 19 so i dont have alot of cash but this is what i got. Is my processor to weak to handle this Video Card or anything else?

1 Antec Twelve Hundred Gaming Case(Without PSU)
1 Corsair Powersupply 750W Black,ATX/EPS, 140mm Fan, 8xSATA, SLI

1 Gigabyte GA-X48T-DQ6, X48, Socket-775, ATX, Silent Pipe, DDR3, 2xPCI-Ex(2.0)x16
1 Intel Core? 2 Quad Q9550 2.83GHz Socket LGA775, 1333MHz, 12MB, BOXED m/fan

it's ati's drivers. they currently run the fan at low speeds, based on what temperature the gpu is running at.

Riva Tuner 2.11 will turn the fan speeds up for you, and allow you to overclock it if you want.

im 19 too and in the same situation, but i bought a new cooler for it for $41 (after shipping)

the accelero s1 rev.2 with the turbo fan module. it was pretty cheap, and a pain to install, but it dropped the temperatures by like 20C and the airflow is higher with less noise. it's a great cooler.

lol not a whole lot of money but you have a 4870x2.... and ddr3 system memory :O

Hehe great i will download it asap. I got Antec Twelve Hundred so my airflow inside the case is quite good. But what i got problems with atm is my PSU. It got so many cables i dunno where to put em all cus i cant disconnect any of them =(

My comp costed me 2140 $ But i've simply saved the money together =)
