Help with aux buttons please

Hi

I just reformated my laptop, it's a Compaq 2199. Now the buttons that control things such as locking, search, and help(which are located above the F keys) do not work. The mute button no longer works either. Any ideas?

sweet thanks I installed it and now I can customize it but when I go to lock it, the computer says "the system cannot find the specified path." does anyone now what the title of the action is?

i did some research and found I need a file named quiklock.exe

anyone know where I could find it?

Isnt quicklock a BIOS enabled feature??

i do remember reading something like that, do you know to enable it?

Well if its a BIOS feature, check your BIOS, i dont have that system or a similar one so i cant test

sorry but how do i go about checkin my BIOS? and what would I be looking for?

Well when you start your machine it'll say something like "Press <button> to enter <BIOS/SETUP>" ... press that button
