Help with BIOS password.

I turned on my laptop today and for some reason there is a BIOS password, I didn't download any files or change any windows settings since my last bootup. I can't boot to a USB drive to flash my bios because I can't set the boot order without getting into my BIOS. Is there any way to disable the password or get around it? I would try to remove the CMOS battery but I did some reading and people say it works differently with laptops and it wont work.

I have a Sager NP2096 notebook w/ Phoenix BIOS.

edit// I've tried all backdoor BIOS passwords I could find for Phoenix.

Right when I turn on the computer it goes to the Sager loading screen then pops up with the screen asking for my BIOS password, so I can't boot to a disk/floppy/usb drive. I can't change the boot order or enter BIOS settings without being asked for my BIOS password.

Looks like you might have to send it back to the Manufacture to have it done. On a Desktop computer it is easy, by jumper the CMOS. But on a laptop, I have no clue.

laptops r same as desktop, u need to take out cmos battery. its simple in desktop but not in laptops coz u have to de-assemble all the parts and need to reach motherboard.

start in safe mode and try changing settings or system restore

You can't boot up the machine while there is a BIOS password on it unless you know the password.

I took my laptop all the way apart to take out the CMOS battery and reset everything, but it's soldered to my motherboard and I really don't wanna mess with it. There's no jumper on the motherboard I can move to reset the password either. I can't boot to a CD / Floppy / USB drive or do ANYTHING. Anyone know of any other way to bypass this? Is it true you can get a backdoor password by using the 5 numbers it gives you after 3 failed attempts? System Disabled (14508)

You can usually replace the IC altogether. This means you won't have any passwords to worry about.
