Help with burned DVDs

I won some DVDs on eBay a few months back, and didn't realize they were bootleg. By the time I got them, I figured eh, I might as well keep them since it was still not a bad price. But now, they're starting to die. I get read errors with my DVD player on the computer. I don't have an actual DVD player, so I'm not sure if it would load in that or not. For some reason, also, DVDs only seem to play in Nero Showtime on my computer. Windows Media Player gets an error message with any DVD I play. Is there anything I can do to save the bootleg DVDs I have? I did pay for them, so I'm kind of frustrated that they're already starting to die off. I was thinking maybe I could borrow my dad's DVD burner and make new copies? I don't know if there's actual damage to the disk though. There's no apparent scratches, and wiping off the disk doesn't seem to help. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

nero should copy them, but if you don't have that, rip them with any program (I use dvd decrypter) and try burning them again on a fresh disk, but you'll need a program that will burn them if you don't already have a program capable of burning dvd's
