Ive been thinking of buying a computer but im dont know much about computers. I came here because it seems like you guys really know what you are talking about and could give me good information. Putting it together wont be any problem because i know people hwo can help me with that, but the main problem is knowing if the parts i want are good and are compatible with eachother. For all i know all the parts i have picked out are really horrible. Please comment all you want about what i should change, keep, or whatever.

We dont live here, no point in bumping after only an hour and a bit. Gotta do research .. now unless u want meaningless answers.... ;)

Now the question is [1] Whats your budget (i dont wanna go adding the prices together) [2] whats the purpose of the machine?

Well, I checked out your case specs and the reviews are not favourable. Did you take the time to read the reviews on all your components?

yea, tell us ur price -- i noe a combination of 1.5k CANADIAN around 1.2k american for a better PC...and wuts ur purpose of the system?

994.93 US dollars about for the price of all of those items. The purpose for the system.. its basically just overall whatever. I just play games, surf the web, and use programs.

im more of a intel dude, ive never had an athalon and never plan to. I hear that intel is better for overall stuff, and athalon is better for gaming. Can you guys please tell me if the stuff i chose are compatable with eachother and stuff like that. Ive checked and it seems compatible to me but i dont want to buy something for accident and not be able to put it together.

Actually, unless you do a lot of video editing (AMD is pretty much equal anyways), it doesn't really matter what company's processor you get. Since you don't do anything specifically special, it wouldn't matter. Just get whatever is cheaper. I would recommend an AMD, although benchmarks could be wrong, generally I've seen Athlon equivalents of Pentiums to be faster.

I thought intel was more for like multi processing with programs and stuff, and athalon was mainly for games. Thats what ive heard from like all my friends who know alot about computers. Also, why is intel good for video editing?

1. Why do you think i got a dual core machine? ;)
2. Please send my intellectual condolences to your friends :)

okee....

The main question i have been asking, are all my stuff compatible with eachother, ive looked and it seems right to me but im not a computer genious. Im only good with acually using computers not the hardware.

Thr stuff you picked out is compatible: do note that my box will outperform yours hands down across the board though, so definitely worth considering

No matter what ones i choose, are there any other parts that I forgot or any extra cables that dont usually come with the parts that i need to put it together.

I would highly, highly recommend Praetor's build. It will easily outperform yours. For a comparison of AMD vs Intel Duel Core processors, look here, but basically, the duel core AMD processors outperform the Intel ones in EVERY catagory.

You should have everything you need, as IDE cables come with the motherboard. Obviously, however, you are going to need a monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc... as well.

1. You can always add parts
2. As for extra cables you'll be fine .. only thing to be concerned over is the PSU
