Help with CPU

I am thinking of switching the processor in my computer (athlon xp 1.09GHz 11xmultiplier) with a (athlon mp 1.75GHz 10.5x multiplier) I was wondering if someone could tell me if there will be any real difference with the lower multiplier, is it worth switching them? how much better is the newer CPU?
 
Yea the 1.75 would be better, but if its a mobile processor and your putting it in a desktop board theres a small chance that it wont be recognized by the bios.
 
It isn't a mobile processor, and it has the exact same socket and everything, its practicall the same chip, so im assuming itll work fine just needed confirmation bout the multiplier, thanks guys :)
