Help With Custom System Not Powering Up

Hi,

I have a custom PC that is now not powering up when I press the power switch on the front of the PC. The computer started freezing on the start up black screen where it shows the system details. I decided to take it apart to see what the problem was and put it back together. I have plugged everything in and the Mobo (Foxconn C51) shows that power is going into it as it has a LED on it, but when I try and plug the 4 wires into the front panel connector (PW Switch, RESET, HD Light and PW LED) nothing happens when I press the power button on the front panel. I have tried the power lead all ways on the front connector and just the power switch on its own but nothing is happenned. Does anyone know what can Cause this? and how I can fix it pls as its doing my head in not having a working desktop.

Have the 2x2 CPU connector plugged in? If so, what kinda PSU?

Problem PC

I have taken the mobo out of the case and tried just plugging in the psu and the front panel connectors - it seems that now the LED on the motherboard is not lighting up showing that there is no power going to the Motherboard anymore . is there anyway to test the PSU to make sure that this is working? I am at my wits end here now as it seems that something has gone very wrong.

you could try a volt meter. take the long motherboard connecter and hook the black to the black and the red to some color that is odd. not green, red, yellow. but one of the other colors and you should get a small voltage of one of them. also have you tried unpluging your psu for like a min and plug it back in?
