Help with finding a card reader

I seem to be having trouble finding a card reader that I want. I have one free usb header on my mobo. I had thought that there were a total of 3 usb headers on the mobo but, I guess there are only 2. I am not sure what the used header is doing either unless it is for the onboard usb slots.

I would like a couple of usb 2.0 slots, an ethernet connector, and capability to read sd and micro sd cards. I found one that I wanted but I think it requires 2 open usb headers.

Also it has ieee and not an ethernet connector. I am also confused about connecting ethernet to the front. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Well worst case, you could get something like that and simply not connect one of the USB headers. You'd have a pair of dead USB ports, but the rest should work just fine. As for ethernet, I have no idea what you could do about that... At least with pre-made items, I think you're pretty much out of luck.

Why don't you do something like get a switch and have it on top of your tower? Or a cheap NIC and have the plug somewhere beside your case (you can purchase fem/fem converters)

Thanks, I guess that is true. I could live with 2 dead ports. I may just go wireless for the internet and get rid of a few cables.
