Basically, I am ahving a problem with WoW frames per second. Yes, I do use a few addons, but they dont seem to make a difference. I also ahve all setting maximized and run the game in windowed mode 1280 x 1024. also V-sync is off.

System Specs.....

Asus A8N SLI Deluxe

2 gig Giel high preformance ram (dual channel, 533 i believe, with fairly low latency)

AMD 3500+ OCed by about 300 mhz

SINGLE Nvidia 6800GT OCed to ultra speeds

2 raptor hard drives (36.6 gig each, NOT in any raid)

Creative Audigy 2 ZS gamer edition

Cable internet connection

Yes, i ahve tried old drivers, and I am currently using the latests drivers from Leadtek.com (the brand of my video card)

I have 7 case fans, and the badass zalman all copper "flower" heatsink/fan on my CPU, there are no overheating problems, usually run at about 30 degrees celcius +/- 5.

I dont recall my exact 3D Mark 05 score, but it was in the 5k's

With all of this, IF I AM LUCKY looking stright into the sky i get about 75 fps.

During actual gameplay i get between 20 and 45 FPS. This seems far to low for my system specs.

Thank you in advance

O, theres an option on the bits you want to run. I usually stick mine down to 24Bit with 4x resampling. This improves your FPS quite a bit and the game looks identical to before.

I tried evey option, as well as every single resolution option, and video (eye candy) option......

NONE of them help, even at a total crap resolution, with no eye candy on. I maintain a low latency, so I do not think that has anythign to do with it.

ARGHH im so frustrated.

My rig is superior to yours and I seem to have a cap at 64.1 FPS.. not sure why, but WoW is very strange. I can turn all settings on low and it still stays at 64.1

Well the 61.4 FPS you are experiencing is probobly because you ahve either V-Sync of some other kind of limiter on you options. You would probobly max out at around 150 FPS by turning it off, and having your options set up correctly. I have seen myself get upwards of 99 fps, but this has only happened once or twice. I howeer, cannot stand the fact that I cannot even record with fraps because my FPS is so low. People with far worse systems than mine can record with fraps and still get 45+++ FPS, while i get under 20 while recording. Something is definetley not right.

Do you have the latest drivers? Maybe there is something slowing downd your computer like programs running in the backround?

If you read above, It says I have tried MANY different versions of drivers, and yes, I am currently using the most up to date drivers available. I see virtually no improvment regardless of the drivers that I use.
As far as back ground processes, I close out of everything that I do not use while i game.

LOL i ask for help and end upp fixing someone elses problem lmao

Just go into wow, press ESC, click video options, and turn off V-Sync, its easy.

AND PLS GOD, can someone here pls know what they are talking about?! No offense, but It seems that I know more about PCs than most of the other posters here, even the MODs. I do not have spyware or anything of that sort. I HAVE ALREADY CHECKED most common problems, and spywayre/virus/malware=reformat is the most generic piece of crap asnwer anyone can give. This is and should always be the first thing anyone checks for.

Sorry if I sound rude, but i am not computer illeterate, infact I work in and on PCs EVERY day, for the past 8 years. I need help from someone who knows tier shit.

Thx again.

Just a thought....try verifying your voltages and multipliers in Bios. Some boards actually get slowed down at factory defaults.

If that is good, then you are most likely getting a bottleneck in the software somewhere. Where? Who knows...could be Driver, FSB, PCIe Driver, DX, WoW itself (installation options), and many, many more. It will be a long process of elimination...

Well, the voltages seem fine, as I have tried them both manually and at default. Where would you suggest searching for this possible bottleneck?

Thx again
