Help with Gears of War installation

I just purchased GoW, obviously. When it gets about half way, or more, through instalation an error (error 1305) message pops up saying i'm missing this file (not sure if I copied the file 100% correctly) --->

D:\program files\Microsoft Games\Gears of War\War Game\CookedPC\Maps\SP_Embry\SP_Embry_Start_Cinematic_LOC_int.war.comp

The only option is to retry or cancel instalation. This seems like a file that should be on the disc, but I really don't know. I'm thinking I'll just return it get a new one and hope it's a defective disc. Does anyone know what to do?

I am running Vista 64 bit.

none of that really helped. What you gave me and along with what I found when I searched the web earlier, was most people just have problems after it installs and I can't find anything on problems while it's installing. Thanks anyways though.
 
I found the answer, it was a bad disc. Then after I got a new one, I encountered even more problems, and realize you have to play it from the games folder, not from the cd/dvd drive. So problem solved!
