Hello all. I've run into of a bit of a problem and i was wondering if anyone can help me out?

Okay here's the problem. I've had my laptop almost a year now and Vista is driving me crazy. I want to downgrade back to Windows XP Professional. After inserting the xp disc, when Windows has finished loading the files i get a blue screen. It's always there and i can't seem to get around it. It's really frustrating. My laptop is a Sony Vaio VGN FW31e 4gigs of RAM Vista Home Premium pre-installed. Also a 400HDD.

Am waiting for your kind rep.

Thanks.;)

You really find vista more annoying than XP?

It sounds like you might have a scratch (or some other type of bad spot) on your install disc.

Exactly when does it blue screen? If it's after the first "run" of the Windows install, that usually means a drive issue with SATA. If you had to load the SATA/RAID driver, try checking your BIOS to see if there's an option for IDE emulation. If not, try looking for other SATA drivers.

Sorry for the late rep, everything is fine now i've upgraded to windows 7 home premium everything is back to normal apart from one thing. I can't access my camera on my laptop. There's an "AV Mode" button at the top near key board but it's disabled when i press it and a friend told me that i don't some sort of software install, can anyone help me?
