Help with graphics upgrade :confused:

I don't know very much about computers, and I want a good graphics card, so I came here. I own a eMachines T5026 and want to know the absolute best graphics card that will work on that machine. To find its specs go to http://www.emachines.com/support/product_support.html?cat=Desktops&subcat=T-Series&model=T5026 and select desktop, then T series, then T5026.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well your chipset is said to be pci-e enabled or compatible. So if you have a pci-e slot the best card would be the Nvidia 7900GTX 512MB, if it can fit.

Judging by the document on the website you provided it looks like you have an AGP slot.

There is a bunch of new AGP cards search for them on newegg and see what you like.. get one that is ATLEAST 256mb

yea the 7900gtx 512 and the x1900xtx are hand in hand with the latest games... they perform differently for different games that require different architectures, but overall they perform similarly.

That model has NO AGP or PCI-e graphics slot. So, you are going to have to forget those cards that were mentioned above, and look for a PCI card.

New question: What is the absolute best PCI (not PCI-e or AGP) graphics card? If it matters the only game I play is BF2.

Ok, I did some looking around and it looks like the ATI 9250 is the best one I'll be able to find. I currently have an FX5500, and I'm wondering, is the 9250 better (for BF2), and if so, by how much?
