Help with installing ubuntu

Ubuntu will not connect to the internet

Anyone know what any of this means? I'm trying to install ubuntu with a flash drive.

Does this happen as soon as it boots from the flash drive, during the installation or after the installation? If this is happening while the flash drive is booting or during the installation the flash drive may have not formatted correctly and reformatting a fresh downloaded ISO may be best.

Can you also tell us what hardware you are using.

I eventually decided to use a different program to get a bootable usb, and it worked; however, I am unable to connect to the internet through ethernet or wifi. It will recognize that there is a connection, but it will never connect.
