Hi guys,

I just bought a leadtek 6600gt 3 days ago, had it installed yesterday. all was fine till just now when the monitor suddenly went blank and when i restart my system,
a 'no signal digital' msg appeared.
right after, i switched to analogue mode and all i got was vertical lines coming down. and the pc hangs at windows xp loading part. sometimes before the windows log on screen, 'no signal' comes out.
it's like almost the same problem with my old radeon 9800pro which was worse, screwed up graphics during games, whole image screen distorted at boot up and beyond. i even changed a motherboard and reformatted pc for this 6600gt.
managed to use for a night and this happened this afternoon.

temperature's around 49 to 50 deg. environment temp around 39

my pc stats:
pentium4 478 2.66ghz
gigabyte 8ipe-1000 g/l f5 agp 8x
wd120gb hardisk
2x512 kingston pc333
leadtek winfast 6600gt
superflower 400watt psu with warranty

i've tested ram too but still same effect. don't know what else to test.
any help would be appreciated thanks.

click F8 before the computer starts and boot it in "VGA" mode. this will boot using windows video drivers (800x600, or 640x480). im guessing your monitor doesn't support the resolution you're trying to boot the computer up in.... orrr it could be bad video drivers.
ive had a similar problem with two of my monitors, they won't support over 1280x1024 @ 60hz
