ok so i went to open malwarebytes and i get a windows message saying searching for mbam.exe, so then i go and uninstall to try and reinstall, and once i get to the reinstall process it fails because it cant find something, what happened? and what do i do now?

thanks but that doesnt really help too much, ive tried googling whats wrong and it came up as i probably have malware on my machine and to try and copy the .exe from another pc that isnt infected and rename it and run it, so i tried that but it still wont work, any other suggestions any1??

In that case, I have no idea how to fix it. sorry. I switched over to AVG Free when my Maliware bytes was not working right.

Good luck with the fix

hey sarus try going into your c drive then into program files x86 and directly delete the malwarebytes folder from there, then if you can download two programs from www.iobit.com your looking for advanced systemcare and security 360 run systemcare first this will clean your system then use 360 to do a scan its good at removing malware then try reinstalling malwarebytes although if i were you i would download a clean up to date version.

The only way that I can figure this out is like posted above where you go into your folder where it was installed and delete everything that has to do with Malwarebytes. You can even search for any existing files and delete those.

Then, download MBAM and save it to your desktop because its easier and when you install, choose the appropriate folder and see what happens then.

hey guys thanks for all the ideas, i ended up going and uninstalling it then reinstalling it and then the .exe still wasnt there so i went onto my laptop and copyed the .exe and put it on my desktop comp and was able to get it running that way and it found 11 viruses and maleware things. thanks for the ideas though

Did you want to post your log and then a hijackthis log so we can make sure you are clean?
