Sorry if this is in the wrong section, i couldnt decide. But i have an xfinity router which is a router and a modem combined and i would like to move it to a new room along with my desktop pc. When i hook the router up and all cables are in place i seem to get no internet connection in the other room. Any ideas?

Is it connected to the coaxial connection in the wall?
If it is, and you still don't have Internet, it could be that your cable guy disabled that connection in the wall to increase bandwidth, something my Internet guy did without asking and wouldn't put it back, dammit.
