Hello.
Specs:
Intel core 2duo extreme 2.8ghz
4gb DDR2
180gb HDD
Nvidia Geforce 8700M GT
Windows 7 ultimate
Ok heres the issues. So i heard this particular laptop had issues with the video card toasting when you attempt to install windows 7 ultimate 64bit. Has anyone else had or heard of this happening? I can still login to windows and do just about anything except install the video drivers or do anything at all that requires the use of the vid card. It is throwing the "bad card" code as well. I want to replace the card as i love my laptop but im curious if i also need to replace the mobo or downgrade to vista or xp?
Please any HELPFULL suggestions would be much appreciated. Where can i buy a new card? Ive never tore into a laptop before but ive built, maintained, repaired, and sold more desktops than i can remember. Thanks a ton for all your help guys.
