so i just got a new iMac and love it!! however as we all know, apple is not the most compatible. so here is my issue...
I have an external HDD (250g Western Digital) and it is obviously NTFS. I have 2 music folders, my music and my friends music which we just put on there the other night. when i find my music on there, the songs play perfectly with no issues.
however with his files, which are also all mp3, they will not play, copy over to desktop or import via iTunes. sometimes it will freeze, and sometimes i get an error code 39.
another issue is i have installed the paragon NTFS software to allow me to write on my external HDD, and my permissions are correct, but when i drag something onto my ex. HDD, it gives me an error 36 (I/O error) but the mac is brand new, tried various usb cables and firewire both. and when i switch over to XP via bootcamp, i have NO issues with my HDD. can someone please help me? i also posted a video...
