Ok guys I have been out of the computer building game for a hot minute now...I am not sure what's good and what's not. Before researching I was going to go with X2 6000+ combo. After a good week of reading now I am going to go with E6700. Here is a basic combo of what I am looking at. I am only going to spend 2k on a computer (already have moniter, mouse, keyboard). I plan on gaming a little bit, and I wanna learn how to overclock.

SO...here is my list: Ya or Na? (if comment please tell me why so I can know why/how to switch) I am trying to start this build within the week. Thanx for help! IF you know cheaper prices please let me know :D

I'd downgrade the CPU to an E6600 and upgrade the video card to an 8800GTX if the system will be used primarily for gaming, and particularly if you'll be overclocking.

Is there that big of difference from GTS and GTX? What about using 4gb or 2gb of ram. I see alot of people only use two...any real reason for that? I use tiger direct because...didn't know any other places...

Do you think that mobo can get the job done? I really do like that price of mobo though :D. I pretty much changed my whole list around now, Thanx guys. One more question...CPU Cooler i was looking at getting this one (Cooler Master GeminII Dual 120mm Universal CPU Cooler). This can get the job done right? Also another mobo option XFX nForce 680i SLI NVIDIA Socket 775 ATX Motherboard. How do you think that mobo will perform. I am going to try to overclock as soon as I can get someone to teach me how... Thanx again for all the help
