i built my new computer. i power it up it sounds like its working fine all fans are working but no signal to my monitor. im not sure if i might have touched the video card when i removed it from anther computer and have given it a static shock. If there anything else i could check before running out to get a new video card

What I did wrong was I didn't conduct a test on the monitor. I had to power down the tower and monitor. Start the tower and monitor at the same time. push the menu key on the bottom of the monitor and select test. once the test was complete everything worked great. Never had an issue yet.
