I'm having some trouble OCing my 6300. Comp specs in sig, I was wondering why I can't push this thing past 288 mhz with x7 multiplier. I was also thinking about dropping the multi and going for a bigger increase in the fsb. At this point, I"ve only just been able to get 2016 mhx out of this processor. Is there a bottlenexk somewhere in my system causing this, or is there something else I can do in order to push this thing a little bit further, I? wanna get to 2.1-2.2 if possible maybe even further. Any tips/hints/advice/help would be greatly appreciated. Also just ffyi, it doesnt post when oced to 289+ fsb, but everything boots up. Also how do I drop the multi on this board?

Ok have a quick look though these

It could be possible that the BIOS on your mobo has no option to change your multiplyer.
