Help with photoshop....

Hi, I have photoshop CS2, and I'm wondering if it can edit icons.... For example, I have bf2, and the icon is crappy looking, and i wanna pimp it out, can i use photoshop to do this?? how?? thanks

I'm not too sure, you might want to make the icon in photoshop then use an icon formatting tool to make it an icon.

If you bought the program, there should be a file extension plugin that allows you to save files as icons. Its on one of the extra discs, not sure of which one.

Copy the icon first to another location, say your Desktop. Then change the extension from .ico to .bmp. You can then work on the icon in any program that handles bitmaps, such as Paint or PaintShopPro, or, I assume, Photoshop. Work your editing magic, and save the work as a 256-color/8 bit bitmap. Change the extension back from .bmp to .ico and you're done.
