laptop: toshiba satellite u200
os: xp pro sp 3
iphone: 3g v2.1

I downloaded a remote desktop program on my iphone, to connect to my laptop.
With my router, I have set up port forwarding, and i have allowed remote connections from my computer firewall and system settings.

When i enter my ip into the program on my phone, as soon as the connecting-loading bar shows, my laptop gets a blue screen and crashes.

the same thing happens even if i connect by wire to my university's lan. Just a blue screen!

I asked the company who made the iphone application, and they told me it might be a graphics driver problem.

but my computer manufacturer's website said there is no driver update for my display card.

anyone have any suggestions?

Thats really odd, you could start by trying to connect to a different computer with your Iphone. If it doesn't crash that computer then you know it's a problem with your computer rather than the phone. I really haven't heard of remote desktop causing a computer to crash though.

I mainly use logmein, although currently I'm looking at vnc and another.
logmein with iphone is too slow for my liking, but I don't really have a need to use my phone for rc.
