Help with restoring file from recycle bin?

I had a file on a media player that i accidentally deleted.

I clicked the restore button on the recycle bin.

The problem is now the file hasn't returned to where it was originally and it's also now not in the bin so I cant find it.

Is there any way I can get it back!!?

Have you tried a system restore point before the day you deleted that file? Though that will only work if the file in question is a system file. If it was a music or video or etc... file then you are out of luck. System restore will not help you there.

Also have you backup-ed your hard drive recently? If so then look for it there.

More information on the program, when you did it, what it was, OS your running, etc... please.
