Help with screen resolution

Long story short, I had my screen replaced on my laptop and when I got it back the resolution was not what it was before I sent it off. It is way too big and so are the icons. When I try to change it in the display function the only options are: 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x720, and 1280x800. From trying those, they are not what I had it set to before. I have tried updating my graphics card, which did not work. I try to go into device manager and under montiors, there are 3 default monitors and 1 plug and play, not sure what to do here. Also, in the display function under settings, there is a display drop box above the screen resolution which contains: (Multiple Monitors) on NVIDIA FX 360M or Default Monitor on NVIDIA Quado FX 360M. The Default Monitor offers more screen resolution settings but it always resets back to the Multiple Monitors selection. Is there a way I can get my resolution back the way I had it? Sorry this is so long, just trying to fill in details as much as possible.

What was the screen resolution before the replacement? Its possible they gave you a different resolution screen.

I believe it was 1280x900 and that is not an option anymore. And I used to could fit about 15 icons in 1 column on my desktop, now I can fit 9 at most.
